Starbucks

The most expensive Starbucks drink EVER?!

A student in Texas claims to have ordered the most expensive Starbucks drink EVER.

It starts with the Trenta cup, a new size launched last year, which holds 31 ounces of caffeinated goodness (fun fact: that’s more liquid than will fit in your stomach!).

The order then goes something like this:

One Java Chip Frappuccino: $4.75
16 shots of espresso: $12.00
A shot of soy milk: $0.60
Caramel flavoring $0.50
Banana puree $1.00
Strawberry puree $0.60
Vanilla beans $0.50
Matcha powder $0.75
Protein Powder $0.50
And a drizzle of caramel and mocha $0.60

The grand total: $23.60 (plus a tip for the laughing barista who helped him pull it off).

And the best part about it? Logan Warren didn’t pay a dime, after using a free birthday beverage reward. You get ANY beverage you want, so why not make the most expensive and disgusting thing you can fit into 31 ounces?

Logan says the resulting concoction contained a whopping 1400 mg of caffeine -- almost five times the recommended daily dose.

His verdict on the taste? “Tolerable, but not good,” he wrote on his blog. “Imagine a coffee-based health food smoothie that will put you in the hospital if you drink it all. That’s how it tastes … like Jillian Michaels with a touch of Chuck Norris.”

Sounds very, um, sweaty.

Would you try a sip?
